Maryhill Locks Phase 2

Maryhill Locks Phase 2 is the second phase of new build housing being delivered in the Maryhill TRA by Maryhill Housing Association (MHA). The first phase of new build housing was completed in 2010 and is located in the Botany area providing 35 new build homes for social rent.

The Phase 2 project is also one of only 11 awarded Scottish Sustainable Community status by the Scottish Government an initiative which aims to “….create places which are ambitious and inspiring, raising standards and developing skills in design, architecture and sustainable construction…”

The Phase 2 project will provide 106 new homes for social rent and 19 units for New Supply Shared Equity (NSSE). The NSSE is a Scottish Government initiative which helps people who would not otherwise be able to purchase by providing grant assistance. One commercial unit will also be developed within the project.

The project is due to start on site in February 2012, prior to the contract works the contractor has completed advanced ground works and services re-location.
